When CPO Phones may be a good fit
Consider CPO Phones if you want to buy directly from the business that tests and grades your device. Our Condition Grading Standard explains screen wear, frame marks, battery minimums, and included accessories. A lower cosmetic grade does not mean a lower functional standard.
Our checks cover the screen, touch response, buttons, charging/data port, speakers, microphones, cameras, wireless connections, and cellular radios. Every phone must have a clean IMEI, have previous accounts removed, and be carrier-unlocked unless the title explicitly says otherwise.
If a phone does not match its advertised grade, contact us within 30 days with a photo. Under our grading policy, you can choose a refund of the difference between grades or a full refund after returning the phone with return shipping paid by us.
The tradeoff is selection: our available stock is smaller than a broad marketplace program. If we do not have the exact model, storage, or color you need, another seller may be a better fit.
When Amazon Renewed may be a good fit
Amazon Renewed may suit buyers seeking a wider choice of brands and product categories or shopping within Amazon’s ordering system. Eligible Premium products offer a longer return period and a higher battery minimum than CPO Phones’ published minimums.
Do not assume every Renewed listing has the same protection. Amazon’s current guarantee includes different return and warranty arrangements. The product detail page controls eligibility, so check it before paying.
How to compare prices fairly
Match the model, storage, carrier lock status, cosmetic wear, battery health, included accessories, and delivery costs. Similar-looking grade names across sellers are not necessarily equivalent. A cheaper device can be the right purchase if you understand its wear and protection.
CPO Phones does not claim to beat every Amazon price. Compare current offers at checkout, including shipping and taxes. Availability and pricing can change quickly for individual pre-owned devices.
Returns are different from a hardware warranty
CPO Phones’ 90-day limited warranty covers qualifying hardware failures, battery health below 80% within the warranty window, and qualifying pre-existing carrier-lock or IMEI problems. At our option, we repair, replace, or refund a covered device. Covered warranty shipping is paid both ways.
Accidental damage, liquid damage, and other exclusions apply. Our warranty is provided by CPO Phones, not the device manufacturer. Review the return policy separately and contact us before sending a device back.
Common questions
Does “certified pre-owned” mean manufacturer-certified?
For CPO Phones, it means inspected and tested against our own published standards. We are not an authorized Samsung dealer or repair provider. Read any seller’s certification description rather than assuming manufacturer involvement.
Will an unlocked phone work with my carrier?
Confirm the exact model and IMEI with your carrier. Unlocked status alone does not establish support for every network, plan, or feature.
